Basic B.Sc Nursing

The Basic B Sc Nursing program is of four years. Facilities are provided to students including class room and practical learning both in clinical and community settings under guidance and supervision of experienced faculties. The university exams are held annually. Basic B Sc Nursing recognized by Indian Nursing Council and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Eligibility

  • Must have passed 10+2 Pre University or equivalent, which is recognized by Rajiv Gandhi Health Sciences, Bangalore with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main science subjects.
  • Minimum marks for eligibility in the above subjects in aggregate should be 45%.
  • Candidates should produce eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
  • Candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Candidate must be able to speak, read and write English well.

Admission Procedure

Forms will be available in the college office from 1st May onwards or can be downloaded from our website.
Candidate should apply by filling the application form of Rs. 500/- (B.Sc Nursing) either by cash payment or DD in favour of Principal KLES Institute of nursing sciences Ankola, payable at Ankola.
Documents required during the time of admissions are as follows:

  • Original Marks Cards of S.S.L.C/X,II PUC/XII, & Transfer/L.C Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate for outside Karnataka students.
  • Character Certificate from the previous institution.
  • Four copies of Passport size Photographs.
  • The Candidates coming from out of state must obtain eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore

Examination

  • Students shall have university examination at the end of each year. Minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the theory and practical separately.
  • Class tests will be conducted periodically to evaluate the student's performance in each subject. The average marks will be sent to the university as internal assessment, for both theory and practical.
  • A model exam will be conducted before the university examination.
  • Carry over system : The candidates shall be promoted to the next year if he/she failed in one or more subjects. A candidate shall pass all the papers of the previous examination before appearing for the fourth year examination.
  • Maximum number of attempts and maximum period for completion of the course:
    a. A Candidate may take any number of attempts within the duration of the course.
    b. Maximum duration for the successful completion of the course shall not exceed 8(Eight) years from the date of admission.
